I still don't get why people don't carry around their driver's license or state ID - the chances of needing to use it are pretty high. Plus I wonder if she drove to the store - since her 7th grade daughters shouldn't have. It is possible they got a ride, walked, or public transportation but by the sounds of it, it really wouldn't surprise me if she just doesn't care about having her license on her.
Getting out of retail would be nice. I've only had limited experience - I worked in a book store for a summer but it was Case's book store so the cliental was a bit different and I was part of their social group so I got little grief.
I've been told my many people not to work in retail unless I have to. This time of year, people are getting frustated with their kids cause there is so much to do before school starts...and the summer ends. Yes I think that it's time to move out of the shoe biz. I hear ads on the radio that Clear Channel Radio is looking for females to work there, check it out. If it works out maybe you could come to Syracuse. :) Hugs Sis! Good luck.
PS. I know the frustation of discovering that you don't have your credit card. I went to rent a car the other day and had to go back to the collison shop to get my current licience out of the car. The guy behind the counter said that he couldn't except my old liciense. ( I was in a car accident last weekend and I have $2600 in repairs but at least I didn't get hurt just the car. Glad I have insurance.)
I have a neighbor down the hall from me that works at Clear Channel and I'll ask her what opening they have there. I'm ok from the accident..had a panic attack and mom and dad have helped me through it. I hope to get my car back Tuesday or Wednesday, hope it's as good as new or better! :) *hugs* keep in touch girl! love ya.
You have my sympathy. I've had that same exchange here at Meijer over a check, and ended up having to get a manager to tell her that, "Yes, we really do need to see your driver's license." And in my case, she had her I.D., she just didn't want to bother looking through her purse for it.

And I am looking forward to seeing you. I thought I saw in an earlier post of yours that you have a new job. So no hanging out on Monday?

If you hear anything, send it my way.
Are you okay? What happened? You are the third friend in weeks time to get in a car accident.

Oh, and we're hiring here, since you asked. ;-)
God bless retail, because nobody else will. ^_^
