wow.. this was intensely powerful, hon... loved the painful confrontation between robin and her dad, but especially loved barney covering for her in the bar, then quietly letting her know that he knew it was a lie... beautifully done, can't wait for more :)

You already know my thoughts about this part...Barney's speech is just so BARNEY and perfectly done, you should just be given an award for that one paragraph alone!!! Hehe the Truman/Scherbatsky Show! I CALL MOVIE TITLE REFERENCE! "..got her barely covered ass handed to her" LMAO!

And yes, the ending is perfect and stunning. I love it when you're left with nothing but a slap in the face from one tiny piece of dialogue like "Your gym is closed", I am so glad you rewrote this whole bit. And in Part 1 I love the additional rhymes, and the buildup about instincts and habits which is then torn down in this part when she confronts her father. I guess it shows how her instincts have changed since she was a child. Nicely done. Superb writing as always! And now I have no idea where you're going to go next with the story and I'm DYING to know!! =D

Okay, this whole thing is so sad but still great to read.

I'm really interested in what'll happen next-- especially since Barney seems to have guessed what's going on. I can't imagine that after this he'll feel comfortable just letting her have her space or whatever, considering she just got hurt.

Update soon! (Like in five minutes, so I can avoid writing my essay even more, LOL.)

I know this story needs some kind of light at the end of the tunnel, am I right? I'll work on giving it a little something uplifting next time so it's not so sad. And of course it's now Barney's chance to do a little digging.
