You finished it! Jesus, I hate Jack. I hate him with a red-hot anger like Barney. And I'm scared for him and Robin, despite Barney's bravery and Robin's strength, because a snake like Jack will keep coming until he's put down.

But I love Barney's growth and his trust in Robin and how they've both changed. I'll say it again, although I've said it many times before, this story is stunning. And really, one of my fave HIMYM fics.

Hi, I'm new to the fandom, so I hadn't read this before now. I just finished the story in one go and I just have to say...wow

This is so not what I had expected. I don't remember ever reading a story labeled "dark" that made me feel this good when I'd finished it. There are multiple chapters that made me cry, but it's not the description of the abuse, but how you wrote out Robin's reactions to it. Somehow, I can relate to her pain, and her thoughts...they just reached out to me. I don't think I can come up with words good enough to tell you how I feel about this story. I could quote lines from almost every chapter that just gave me perspective about my life.

Your writing voice is just...brilliant. It drives the point home, and it builds up a painfully vivid scene, slow and intense. And I absolutely love the Barney I read in here. The whole 'Good Morning' bit and the way he could feel himself growing up. Just felt raw, and real. There are sentences you wrote about him that made me just stop reading and contemplate the meaning over

This was a really solid ending that drove the point home that Charlie is still an evil fuck, but gave us hope in Barney and Robin's strength and love for each other.
