Remember that discussion way back when on Tomyshenko's braid and hair, and how to do that coronet braid and all that? Well, here's an interesting take from Janis Cortese, the lady who's site I just linked to in my previous comment.

I learned how to put my hair in a bun about a year and a half ago. It's really not as complicated as it seems, just takes a little bit of fiddling to get the hang of it. Takes roughly 4 well placed bobby pins to hold it secure enough to sleep on, braided then bunned is even better ( ... )

As if it isn't bad enough that I'm totally regretting cutting my hair chin length last August, you had to go and post this. :P

Hopefully by the time the summer rolls around, I'll have enough length to cross the braids at the top of my head so I can start wearing my French Hoods again.

My hair just barely crosses up top right now, so I know the frustration. I am not sure how well they will stay up, but I've got a lot of pins and will have to practice. And there is always fake hair and the wool extensions mentioned above. Not like anyone sees under our French hoods.
