I opened my fabric package from B.R. Exports/exclusive_silks that finally arrived today (I ordered at the end of January). ( list under cut... )

is this the silk-linen you got http://www.puresilks.biz/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=448 ? What weight would you say it is? hankie, lightweight, medium, etc . . . It sounds like something really nice for a chemise so I might get some.

Yes, that's the fabric. I would only get it for a chemise if you don't mind skin showing. It seems to be more transparent than the hanky weight linen I already have. It has a little more body, but I would kind of classify it as "hanky" weight, tho that wasn't what I was trying to get. On silk scales, it is heavier than a china silk because of the linen slubs, not nearly as fine a quality, and almost as transparant as organza. It really is an odd combo. I thought it would be more like the cotton/silk blends, but it is not.
