And before I go do more yard work...

I actually went to the mall today... and bought a bathing suit! ( on bathing suit shopping... )

I recommend Avenue. I got a new selection of work clothes from their online shop just last week.

I've found things there before, but the closest one closed down, and the only other one is across the far side of town.

I will check out the online stuff and see what they have.

Being 31, I am running into the same train of thought. What do I wear to not look like an old lady but not like I'm trying to be a teen either. Again with the Tween years LOL

yeah, tell me about it. I don't want to be a fuddy, but i am feeling like one with the skimpy see through stuff I am seeing.

Jeans, polo type shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, & dockers are pretty much what I stick with. Everything else it seems is too 'young', cute as it may be. =(

Grats on the new suit! (I need one myself, dreading that trip)

Yeah, that's what I have now (in too large sizes), but not finding decent jeans. Many are hip huggers (ugh, not with my middle), or capris (I don't do those) or faded or... you get the pic, just not my style. I guess I may be too picky for my own good.

And thanks about the suit. I was dreading that trip myself, so it was nice to find something that I could look in the mirror and like myself wearing it.

i think you just wear classic pieces, like a nice pair of khakis/jeans, solid colored tops that go with slacks or jeans, a couple of signature color pieces and maybe indulge in one sassy accessory (like a purse, hat, hair stuff, etc). Breezy skirts are fun when it gets hot.

I don't follow trends, but buy pieces I know look good on me and are well made so they last. However, I will occasionally buy a trend piece to just spice up that season's wardrobe. :) Especially if it's flattering on me. :)

I don't like to follow trends either, but it's getting harder to find even the basic staples in colors, waistlines, length, fit, etc. Which is why I am seriously contemplating making my own from now on, and only buying that occasional accessory to liven things up.
