I decided on Anne of the Thousand Days to watch. It has been long and long since I last watched it when I was much younger. This movie was originally rated M for Mature according to its trailer. Now, it is only PG13. My how times change. ( more under the cut... )

It's still my number one favorite movie of all times to this day. For a 1969 movie, I think that the costumes were amazing (assides from the headdresses). Unfortunatly, Hollywood gave more attention to authenticity back then than it does now-a-days...

And the cast & acting is fabulous, quite convincing if you ask me. I still manage to cry everytime I watch it (which is *at least* once a year)

Yeah, I cry at the end, too... seeing little Bessie wander down the lane by herself, even tho I know she ended up quite the Queen. Yet the cost in lives... so many lives.

I am wondering how well the next movie on Anne Boleyn will do (The Other Boleyn Girl), both in costuming and in story. I am not one to read "bodice ripper" romance novels, so I don't know if I want to watch it or not.
