My sewing room is as clean as it will remain, for awhile. I was just starting to vacuum the last patch of carpet, when the vacuum cleaner started smoking burning rubber. The brushes no longer turn, and I can't get the thing apart enough to figure out why. Thankfully, my loving husband is willing to get a Dyson vacuum cleaner if I want one. I will

Check out Consumer Reports on the Dyson. I seem to recall seeing a report that said they aren't all that.

Cam sick... Hmm... I've had a sore throat off and on all week, and some of last week. I thought it was related to the varnish goop I deal with at work. Maybe not...

ksee did a consumer reports news segment about it, there was an oreck that was good (though not *all* of them were), a kenmore, and a eureka that did well picking up pet hair (which was the test).
