WLAN and WEP

I really am at a lost with this one. I have a Belkin DSL/Wireless Router, which is used by the computers at home to access the internet and the NAS. Never had any issues with a PowerMac G4, PowerBook G4 and an IBM Thinkpad. Now steps in a new MacBook, and it cannot hook on to the WLAN ( Read more... )

1. change the wireless channel on the router.
2. make sure there are no spaces or special characters in the wireless network SSID e.g. "the House!" = BAD... "thehouse" = GOOD.
3. change from WEP to WPA or WPA2.

I don't think that this is it, since my PowerMac is not on the network, and the MacBook still cannot hook on. However, the PowerMac can easily hook on to the network.
