WLAN and WEP

Oct 01, 2007 15:28

I really am at a lost with this one. I have a Belkin DSL/Wireless Router, which is used by the computers at home to access the internet and the NAS. Never had any issues with a PowerMac G4, PowerBook G4 and an IBM Thinkpad. Now steps in a new MacBook, and it cannot hook on to the WLAN!

Any WLAN experts out there? The MacBook is not able to sign in to the network, despite having the correct WEP password. In fact, it cannot even get in, even with WEP disabled! Is there a known bug? It is IEEE 802.11g, afterall, isn't it?
