Not too long ago, it was decided by the powers that be, that the Housing & Development would cease to build 3-room flats. This was in part to the apparent rising affluences of Singaporeans. Then there was an economic recession, and many people were forced to downgrade. 3-room flats like mine became a scarce commodity, and people started speculating ( Read more... )

Up for who, may I ask? I think the recovery is but half-hearted, and very skewed towards certain sectors.

You're not wrong in saying that, it is skewed towards certain sectors, like the hardcore engineering fields.

(I might be wrong, I don't have the numbers at the back of my head)
