Good question! Even I have not been to Langkawi, though I was told that it is nice. Tourists are mostly Malaysians, but it keeps the place nice doesn't it?

I did enjoy myself in Langkawi, and think that it is on par with the Thai island resorts. Yet, it is much cheaper! I think I really want to explore KK also!

I have not been to any islands in Malaysia before. Penang doesn't count, haha. Langkawi always give me the impression of an expensive place.

But you are right. The marketing sucks.

Langkawi might be more expensive than Penang, but it is still cheaper than Phuket! Considering the similar geography, I think it is a steal! :)

Wasn't feeling too good, so I went to bed at 6pm on Friday. Hence the screwed up timing... :P
