So, today's adventure began when I received a phone call from Senior & Disabled Services informing me that they had been holding my EBT (Food Stamps) account for about 7 months, in spite of my not having received any notification of said, and that if I wanted to come pick up my EBT card today, the balance was nearly $500, accumulated credit. Wow. All the supportish things I've ever seen were of the "expires in exactly 30 days and is revoked on day 31...oh, and if you don't use it then we figure you don't need any more help ever" variety. Lucky you!

And way to go with that willpower thingie!

Yeah, I was way suprised none of the benefits had dropped off yet. When I was in Washington, any EBT funds you didn't use within 60 days went byebye. This is 7 months worth of buildup! I'm kind of thinking that I need to spend it all at once (at least down to a certain dollar amount) though, because I suspect that it just hasn't dropped off because I haven't used the card yet.

In the meantime, I'm going to buy some stuff for a neighbor who has no benefits currently, and is trying to get them back. He's the one who owns the doggie I took with me yesterday.

Speaking of evil kitties (your icon), I watched Balto last night.
