i believe that i will take jbennett's advice and do this one at a time, getting all of the hard stuff out of the way first. And the winner is...JigglyPuff!!! i played as her yesterday, and if you didnt read what i posted, then i will put it now. ugh. i gotta work on my jiggy. my main char is marth. and if you know marth you know that reach is your benifit and your bane. I'm used to staying far away and executing early. with jiggy it's like the complete opposite. At least it forces me to work on my defense can't afford to get hit trying to run in.

im aware of the rest move, but my main concern for the guide is when to use it? i accidentaly used it once and the cpu went careening across the screen, and i was like: wtf? how the hell had that happened? so if anyone knows that it would be most appreciated. well, i do believe that this can wrap up a pretty decent start for her guide, so i will make a post on someone else now. thanx everyone!!!

SHORT REACH. as a marth player i completely get reach. jiggy's short reach is something to be hugely exploited. The pound can be annoying at blocking your attacks but I think that's the longest reach jiggy has in the jiggy arsenal

in the air jiggy has flight time but little to no dexterity like

I may be a new comer but I've been playing with Jigglypuff for a long time and let me tell you..she can be summed up in one word: Dirty. You guys have already listed a lot of her uses, she's an insane ground fighter, her aerial domination, rollout edge camping,etc so I won't bore you with a ten page guide on Jigglypuff :grins:(I've actually turned in papers about smash bros when I was still in high school...I went off on an 8 page rant once on Dr. Mario Strategy). I'll break down some of the strategy I use to just straight up embarrass people ( ... )

Hah, the board cut me off..anyways here's the end of my jiggly-rant.

Finally probably the most important part of playing Jigglypuff..you HAVE to know how to dodge and roll. Sure, she can get 20% kills but what good is that when you yourself can die at around 70%. If you roll around like a madman and abuse pound you can get your % pretty high before you eat it (I usually have around 120-200% when I die with Jigglypuff). Rolling dodges the little attack and pound, rollout and rest keep them so paranoid that they won't even try to do the big attacks(that is if they know what's good for them...someone trying to falcon punch Jigglypuff is ASKING for it)

Oh, I forgot to mention, Jigglypuff DOES have a third jump. Her mid-air dodge. If for some insane reason you can't make it back on the stage, or just to counter some cheap edge camping, use the midair dodge to get back in. It takes her pretty far. And as for long reach opponents like Marth, Jigglypuff still has the advantage (don't take offense, I play both and it's annoying as hell when I'm Marth fighting Jiggly) if she jumps and pounds and blocks your attack she can usually pull off another pound before you can attack again with the sword because pound moves quicker when she's in the air. I do it all the time to people with long reach.

i play marth & jiggy as well. and i can attest to the whole double pound thing. with marth i have clear reach adv but if you can pound-counter an attack with jiggy you can pound again while i'm reattacking. it's freaking annoying.

DOOOOOOD. Jigglypuff is the AIR MASTER.
i like that you mentioned that. its one of j-puffs advantages that she can float for so long. you can get like 2-3 hits while she's in the air before they recover. rest is a tricky move but i guess it can be really good if you master it.
she is the only, and i mean ONLY, character that i have seen capable of KOing someone at 46%.
now though that is may be true it is also probably true that j-puff can get KOed with 46%. jiggly can get smacked around if your not careful.
