I've heard that one of you... or possibly even several of you is in possession of the worst movie ever created.  It's been a sidequest goal of mine to wipe out this bane that not even Second Impact could kill, and I won't have ( Read more... )

What? No! Superman Returns was a fine movie compared to the garbage that was the 2011 TRAVESTY known as The Thing! They couldn't even come up with a different title than Carpenter's version, which I might add is the BEST movie ever made!

oi! you know I've probably only watched about half a dozen movies. *Would rather be exploring the whip or trying to push the buttons to the point of getting in trouble without crossing that line*

Huh. I'll be sure to lend you my collection some time. There's a lot of old classics, especially during Hollywood's second Golden Age.

... Makes sense you wouldn't have the movie anyways, it was rated "R".

Hey, asshole.

You're not touching ANY of my movies.

[[That is to say, the Kamen Rider OVAs... American horror movies? Never seen em...]]

Provided you don't have the one that degrades human existence just by living, you don't have to worry about that at all.

This movie... it's so bad I...

Well, if I was a stupider person, I'd make a long, nonsensical comparison of some heinous thing I'd rather experience than watch it.

The hell movie're you talking about?

It's the piece of crap prequel to John Carpenter's classic 1982 horror movie, The Thing, which was also called The Thing because they couldn't think up any good title at all!

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to unleash it but it really isn't that bad.

[Dammit Ichitaka, bringing it to Josh was not a good idea.]

... Drop it. Drop it right now and step away before it corrupts you. It's for the good of the planet.

[Ha when has Ichitaka ever had good ideas.]

No do you know how rare this is? Only one episode was ever recorded I have to keep it.

If this is Ginguiser, Josh has all the more reason to destroy it azure_savior October 22 2011, 11:17:24 UTC
[He's had perfectly benign ones at the very least.]

... "One episode"?

I'm not talking about a TV show but an actual movie, a terrible one at that!

The movie can't be that bad can it?

azure_savior October 21 2011, 17:41:45 UTC
Let's put it this way:

Before I realized how much of a total creep my father was, this movie was the sole thing in the world I hated. Yes. It is that bad.

Quite a hatred you've got for a simple movie. What film deserves such scorn?

azure_savior October 22 2011, 11:20:09 UTC
You know John Carpenter's horror classic, The Thing? Made in 1982?

Well what I'm looking for is the pure garbage that was released in 2011 and tried to pass itself off as a prequel.

If this wasn't such a travesty, I'd almost be amused at the fact the worst movie ever was directly connected to the best movie ever.

Maybe Kincaid has a Pirates of the Caribbean sequel.... blackguard_x2 October 21 2011, 17:30:59 UTC
Movie.

What sort of joke is this, Radcliffe?

Reply

azure_savior October 21 2011, 17:43:19 UTC
It's not a joke, Chareux. This is like... the most offensive movie ever, one that tried, from start to finish, to destroy the reputation of a work of art.

blackguard_x2 October 21 2011, 18:51:31 UTC
mm, your description doesn't seem to fit a Classic MGM movie that I would probably know.

That's the unfortunate fate you suffer when you are leagues beyond any other movie in the era you're made in. Nobody remembers you because you were surrounded by mediocrity.
