[1][How unusual for the so-called woman of science to actually engage in scientific research! There she is, sitting at a table that's absolutely COVERED with scientific books - physical, biological, and more ( Read more... )

[Now... despite the passing of a few months and seven years, Cheng still remembers being Alessandra's unwilling guinea pig for several of her... "experiments".]

...

[As such he was just standing there, pondering on the merits of helping her out from the pile of books or leaving her there in case she tries to drag him into yet another moment of craziness.]

The fact I became a sensation to stare at does not please me! So please cease the staring and lend assistance, sir Hua Cheng Kwan!

That's Chairman-General Kwan now.

[Still, now that she's noticed him Cheng could do nothing but dig her out from under the pile of painfully acquired knowledge.]

Ah, but still a sir regardless!

[The loud 'thud' sound lures a Werter in.]

What happened, princess? Did the bookshelf attack you?

I have been overwhelmed by the joint knowledge of humanity.

saikyocivrobo October 28 2012, 16:13:05 UTC
No wonder. The times when a single person could know everything are gone for at least 1500 years.

[Werter starts to pick up the books.]

What were you studying exactly?

Scientific repercussions of my planned future victory - both immediate and long-term.

An amused Ranna helps disinvest the pile of books.

"Are you feeling alright?"

[Instant recovery!]

Of course! Science and knowledge are my allies and would never betray me. Thus, their overwhelming presence is like the comfort most heavenly.

[Said while still trapped under piles of literature.]

Ranna removes another book to the side.

"Do you sleep with books then?" Still an amused look.

fermionprincess October 29 2012, 00:20:03 UTC
I would, if such an option would not result in significant damage! One has to respect literature after all.

[Which translates to Alessandra flailing wildly and drooling during her sleep, but Ranna does not have to know that.]

Ah, freedom at last! Thank you, dear lady. I shall not forget this.

(Tatsu comes upon Alessandra as she is lying on the ground with swirls in her eyes. Tatsu jumps in surprise and shakes Alessandra.)

Alessandra-sensei! Who did this to you?!

(Tatsu gasps in fear as she comes to this conclusion.)

They must have been the craftiest of assassins to be able to sneak past the lounge and take you down! We need to do a full scale search of the area! These fiends will not lay a hand on another member of the lounge!

fermionprincess October 29 2012, 23:19:48 UTC
Dearest Tatsu? Is it you who suddenly appears before me?

[Alessandra shakes her head rapidly to regain standard eye pupils.]

Do not be afraid, for the immediate danger was already handled by yours truly.

Tatsu see. So you were able to defeat the invading enemy single handedly but were exhausted afterwards. That is Alessandra-sensei for you!

(Tatsu looks around, looking ready to pounce on something.)

Show Tatsu where you laid their defeated forms! Tatsu wants to show them that no one messes with the lounge!

Oh, they have dissolved into nothingness, except for bitter memories.

[Surely Alessandra cannot tell the truth now...]

[Kazuki's really not one to strike up a conversation, sure. But with Alessandra buried under all of those books and whatnot, she could need a hand and Kazuki's there to lend it to her.]

... Maybe you could do with a break.

The spirit of science never rests!

[Still being buried in books kinda takes away from this statement's gravity.]

Human bodies do, though. And all of this stuff'll be waiting for you after you've gotten better.

[He's still offering his hand to her.]

Come on. At least let me get you back on your feet.
