Of course! Science and knowledge are my allies and would never betray me. Thus, their overwhelming presence is like the comfort most heavenly.

[Said while still trapped under piles of literature.]

Ranna removes another book to the side.

"Do you sleep with books then?" Still an amused look.

I would, if such an option would not result in significant damage! One has to respect literature after all.

[Which translates to Alessandra flailing wildly and drooling during her sleep, but Ranna does not have to know that.]

Ah, freedom at last! Thank you, dear lady. I shall not forget this.

She bows her head almost formally, but smiling still.

"You are very much welcomed. I believe we have not met face-to-face before, quiaff?"

"Perhaps you may wish to discuss this with our scientists as well? The Pentagon Worlds were much more hostile than Terra when we first found them, yet we managed to settle down on them after some terraforming.

Furthermore, this being Terra, we of Clan Wolf would be more than happy to aid you."

Oh, but how much time and effort would such efforts require, lady Ranna the Star Captain? Are they even within the reach of our lifetimes?

"Years at the least. I do think it impossible to restore the ecosystem perfectly to pre-Impact condition. The geographical changes limits that." Ranna pauses in thought, then continues.

"However, to restore Terra to a 'green' world again is definitely possible. The ecosystem will be perfectly similar, but it does not necessarily equate to worse, if all goes well.

"Much effort and resources will have to be put into it, but... Aff, they are possible within the reach of our lifetimes."

Let us consider the very probable possibility, of the same being achieved - with a little additional effort, of course, during the course of the next year or so!

Ah, how wonderful would it be. But with such possibilities comes responsibility.

Ranna considers, then nods. "That may be possible... My Clan has the technology and methods, but we lack the resources for such widespread coverage all at once to achieve it over the course of a year."

[fermionprincess]

Let the Clan's resources stay home, for I shall restore Earth single-handedly! Ohohoho!

Assuming mine will be the victory of the Houses' tournament, that is.

Ranna grins at that, almost proudly. "Ah, but Terra is our home now."

"And what is this tournament that you speak of?"

The tournament of the four Houses! The Earth is the battlefield, the victor shall be the last one standing, and the reward - an ability to change reality itself, to a miraculous extent!

I already did manage to defeat two of the three other competitors, my dearest friends. The third was the one with whom I clashed first, but she still remains unbested.
