Acid + Explosion + ??? = PROFIT!

(You come across Seymour in the halls as he is talking to someone on the phone.)

You heard me. I want you to engineer acid that explodes...What do you mean it can't be done? I just saw a giant explosion created by the interaction of an energy weapon and a pool of an acidic compound... I want this to be made and sold as one of our unique weapons... ( Read more... )

[whistles in awe] An explosive acid compound? You're certainly going to be a step ahead of the curve, won't you, Katsuragi-san?

Yes. It has shown how powerful it could be first hand to us. All our enemies out there were destroyed in mere seconds from a freak accident. Imagine what this could do if harnessed correctly.

[Is imagining this right now.] It certainly has the potential to be quite profitable, but I wonder if its success rate is actually going to be dependable. The testing process could stay in traction for too long and you might start losing money before you can actually turn a profit.

Possible and an important fact to think of. I was going to get the specs on Resnick's weapon to see if we can find the energy output needed to set it off and we could possibly backwards transverse the explosion to possibly make it. I wish I could have gotten a sample though. I will have this working as a side project for now. I plan to have my best men on it. I will also be keeping a close personal eye on the project.

I'm not so sure I want to see that stuff again...! I didn't think we were going to survive that!

[Here's the kid from that last battle, looking horrified at you.]

Hmm? Oh, yes I suppose that would be a rather terrifying experience for those not capable of flight. Either way though, it can be an extremely effective weapon and I could make a lot off of it.

I-I don't think "terrifying" is the right word. Are you sure you can make a weapon out of this stuff, though? I mean, wouldn't it blow up too easily to move?

It obviously reacted to energy. Not movement. If it exploded from movement, than it would have exploded the second the ground broke.

... Why even bother with that? It's... inefficient.

Tell that to the group that nearly died because of it.

But people die from any number of things. And odds are there's a cheaper tactic that would've just involved regular explosives.

True. But the element of surprise can be a powerful thing. Who would suspect that an acidic compound to explode? If placed correctly, it could even cause the enemy to accidentally blow themselves up. Besides, it would be more portable and thus more flexible than regular explosives. It is a liquid that can damage on its' own to eat away defenses which can be sprayed out of resistant pipes that can also trigger a large scale explosion from a simple energy weapon. Think of it as a new form of liquid explosive if you must to make it sound reasonable.
