Acid + Explosion + ??? = PROFIT!

(You come across Seymour in the halls as he is talking to someone on the phone.)

You heard me. I want you to engineer acid that explodes...What do you mean it can't be done? I just saw a giant explosion created by the interaction of an energy weapon and a pool of an acidic compound... I want this to be made and sold as one of our unique weapons... ( Read more... )

I'm not so sure I want to see that stuff again...! I didn't think we were going to survive that!

[Here's the kid from that last battle, looking horrified at you.]

Hmm? Oh, yes I suppose that would be a rather terrifying experience for those not capable of flight. Either way though, it can be an extremely effective weapon and I could make a lot off of it.

I-I don't think "terrifying" is the right word. Are you sure you can make a weapon out of this stuff, though? I mean, wouldn't it blow up too easily to move?

It obviously reacted to energy. Not movement. If it exploded from movement, than it would have exploded the second the ground broke.

I guess that makes sense. Still, though, there'd be a big risk of one of us setting it off accidentally. How would you even use it? Just... throw it and shoot it?

Yes. You spray it on and near an enemy and one shot can cause all of it to explode taking out an army in mere seconds. It can also be versatile as it explodes from a specific reaction. This means even the first stage of the weapon can be deadly.

...I wonder... does it absorb the laser, or does the laser happen to set it off? Could you... use it as a shield somehow? Maybe throw a jar of it in an emergency? And did anyone check if Old Litner was severely damaged in the explosion, or if it was just us?

[The kid seems to be thinking pretty hard about this...]

Kid, trying to use it as a shield would be like using any acid as a shield.

I know nothing of what happened to this Old Litner, and truthfully I do not care.

We didn't learn much about science in Jeeha Village. But hear me out on Old Litner! That's where the acid was before. If the explosion didn't do a lot of damage to the ground it was on, we could coat something with the acid as a protective measure!

[Simon, acid doesn't work like that. A+ for effort, but no.]
