[ Someone ought to really tell Hoshi to stop being in the kitchen so often, but after a victory like that, well she can't help but celebrate in her own way and that's through making a three-tiered cake! There's different flavors on each level - vanilla, chocolate and strawberry covered with frosting and little decorations here and there

I thought the voice on the announcer sounded familiar. I'd have thought you would have been resting after your earlier training, Hoshi.

[Ciel, unaware that Hoshi had already made a meal for her, had poked her head into the kitchen to see if her suspicion had been correct. Despite the admonishing words, it didn't seem to be a critique; if anything, Ciel seemed pleasantly surprised that the girl was still up and about.]

[ Being a chef means that one has to be open to any kind of criticisms, so Ciel's words make her giggle slightly. ]

Ah, well - you know me. If I have something to do that's important, I'm still willing to do it even after a hard training session.

Oh, yeah - there's a meal over there for you-- [ She jerks her head in the direction it's at. ] I made it to say thanks for the training and tips you gave me.

[Ciel places a finger against her cheek thoughtfully.]

Correction, I just met you. But it's good to know you have drive; perhaps my charges will take note of that sooner or later.

[The tone of her voice implies she doesn't think all that much of said charges. At the mention of a meal, Ciel turns her head in the motioned direction, and blinks.]

Oh. Well then, this is a pleasant surprise. Thank you, Hoshi. [Her gaze flits over the food, genuinely surprised by the woman's generosity. Somewhere deep in her chilly soul she realized she ought to be touched, but she hadn't had the joy of that particular feeling in over ten years. It was hard to recall what it felt like.]

[ Hoshi picks up on the tone, but doesn't really remark about it. ]

If you don't mind telling me, just who are your changes?

[ Her seemingly perpetual grin seems to grow at Ciel's thanks and she nods, clasping her hands in front of her. ] Eat it while it's hot, then! Would you like anything to drink? Water? Milk? Tea?

[ Hoshi raises her hand to wave at both Mineva and Haman. ]

Ah, it's nothing, really. I'm just following what's written in here. [ She picks up her heavy textbook filled with her notes and other recipes on it. ]

"Aw, I wouldn't sell yourself so short! If you would like, I could hold a cooking class for the two of you," Hoshi said, grinning ear to ear.

"In fact, want me to see if there's any interest for it and it'll be a group thing?"

Yep, I did! I figured that after a battle like that, we should celebrate in some way and that people would generally be hungry!

I also wanted to say thank you personally for protecting me like you did. If you hadn't come, I would probably be off far worse.

[Mad was having some serious trouble here. On one hand WOMEN EVERYWHERE! AS SOLDIERS! And then there was the highly decorated and VERY GAY looking cake.]

[BUT ON THE OTHER HAND! Said GAY CAKE looked so deliciously mouthwatering that Mad was having serious internal conflict over it. He kept moving to the cake than kept turning around at the last second, unable to make up his mind!]

Goddamn fucking tease cake! Why the fuck are you doing this to me!?

[ This Rider giggles at Mad's comments and shakes her head. He was amusing, she thought. ]

Well, I could have made it look unappetizing, but that wouldn't be fair to those who wanted cake. Just shut up and eat it.

[Mad glares at Hoshi in a way that states that her opinion was neither wanted or needed.... then he takes a slice and shuffles off to the side looking like an upset child whilst eating the cake.]

Doing it because I want to not cos' ya told me....

This is good cake.

[ That...was a sight to behold. Who could be sad when eating cake? ]

See, was all that griping really worth it over cake?

[And cue a... floating fanged jellyfish? The hell?

It must have floated in while Hoshi was preparing the cake. It is making small zigzags in the air, and chirping in curiosity over the stuff on the table]

[ The apparent sight of the jellyfish doesn't seem to deter her that much. She gives a wave to it and a smile. ]

Would you like to have something to eat?

[Well, whatever it is, it's definitely smart enough to understand "eat". It chirps excitedly and starts bobbing up and down really fast in the air!]

Okay, okay! [ She laughs and grins at the jellyfish. ]

Now...what do jellyfish eat? Hm... Do you like bread?
