[ She'll blink a bit at the use of honorifics; she hasn't been addressed in such a way in a very long time. Still, it helps in getting on her good side. She addresses Haruka somewhat politely in turn. ]

Ah, I was just going around to try to meet all the NERV pilots. Haruka Amami, pleased to meet you.

[ Asuka moves to meet her, and nods, offering her a hand. ]

Asuka Langley Soryu. [ She brightens a little. ] Fan of the Evas, I take it? Or just the pilots?

Asuka? It's... well, I'm Ryo. I heard you were one of the pilots for NERV... I was hoping I could talk to you to check a few things?

[ He certainly looks about as impressive as Shinji, but at least he's being polite. She's still eying him somewhat uncertainly, though she'll return the courtesy... for now. ]

Ah, thanks. I was half-afraid I'd have to do a mad dash around the ship to find you; not exactly the easiest for anyone to do in the best of circumstances.

I was... hoping we could talk about Shinji a little bit? I just came from talking with him, he wasn't exactly in the best of spirits. Is he... always like that?

[ ...well, that's not really a great topic of discussion. Asuka huffs, folding her arms and staring defiantly at the opposite wall. ]

What's there to say? He's a brat and an all around failure. We only just met, but trust me, it was more than enough. No confidence, no spine... just a talentless loser!

Kensuke goes to Asuka's door, fidgeting nervously for a moment, trying to get up the courage to knock, but after a minute or so, he just turns and walks away with out knocking.
"... I can't do it..." He hurries away from her door, so that his presence can go unnoticed.
