Well... I can't really comment on that myself since I've yet to see him in action, but I think the one person you could count on to agree with you about that would be him. So I guess that means he's at least honest about himself.

I suppose you have a point. Unit 02 was the first Eva meant for actual combat. That makes you the frontline soldier against the Angels, doesn't it?

Yep! My Unit 02's the most reliable card we've got against the Angels. That makes me the most important player!

Sad part is, SRW makes her right in this regard. Unit 02 has the most and strongest weapons

Unfortunately I can't say the same, myself. The TSX has more in common with Unit 01; they're both test models. But on the other hand, none of the others are ready yet so that's why I'm here on my own, getting combat data for it.

... You know, it's almost funny. The Festum devastated Japan long before we even knew of the Angels, and even at this point we still haven't finished preparing weapons specifically meant to fight them.

Sounds like your intelligence department is dragging its collective ass, then. NERV's pretty competent for the most part, but the Evas have yet to see much in the way of actual combat.

Still, I didn't expect an Angel to be so strong. Guess I'll know better for next time.

Well, Alvis was entirely staffed by refugees. Other things came first, like getting Tatsumiya Island self-sustaining, hidden away from any prying eyes, and figuring out about five dozen other things. They had to start over from absolutely nothing...

But considering we have eight Fafners in development, last I checked, I think we should be able to catch up soon enough.

And as for the Angel? Don't let it bother you. You know'll know what to watch out for next time.
