[She's walking through the hall, in-between pages for consults and two hours out from her next surgery. She's been distracted all day, the calls from Sam have gotten more insistent and as badly as she wants to reach out to him... she just can't deal with him anymore.

So when she hears his voice down the hall, asking for her, she simply freezes and backs back around the corner she was rounding. He can't be here, it's not allowed.]
