I've had an idea for a somewhat cracky, very porny, series-two-what-series-two Sherlock slash fic for a little while now.

I cannot possibly write it.

We all have our own collection of unfinished pieces, some from way back in the way back, gathering digital dust on our hard drives. Has anyone ever gone back and actually completed a WIP that was more than a couple of years old? How did you reassemble the elements and regain your inspiration/momentum?
