Trapped!

It has been incredibly warm for the past few days. Anna and I have taken innovative steps for staying cool in our apartment, which lacks central air and is also a magnet for heat from other sources besides nature.

For example, the apartment building beside us does have central air. But their fan is outside and below our Secret Place Veranda Patio

Ugh, that really stinks about your car. State inspections can suck, and NY was pretty strict about them. And I never ever took my car to dealerships because they always rip you off for the highest prices on everything; I would take it to a Midas (if there is one near you). They tend to be nicer in the "lets see how much we can rip you off for" department.
And a weird thing... they don't do inspections out here in IN! I was totally shocked! You have to register your car every year at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, but that's it. As long as your car has a catalytic converter, you're good to go. This completely explains why I've seen such clunky, rusty, oil burning, beat up cars out here. Weeeeeeeird.

There is nothing wrong with your car! It probably didn't pass for something easy and stupid like some minor environmental thing that will be fine if you replace the gas cap.

Fiona Apple has really been growing on me. I liked her well enough before, but I really didn't like her heroin chic phase. I'm glad she has grown out of it. I like Better Version of Me and Parting Gift..oh oh! and O' Sailor.

HEY!!!!! Did you get the couch in? Did they finally clean the carpets for you? TELL ME MORE!!! :) I'm sorry that its so hot for you right now. i am glad that you have at least one little AC, I'm sure that helps A LOT!!
