I used to see their truck in my old neighborhood a lot, and I always wondered what else they move besides pianos, because i just couldn't fathom that there were that many pianos that needed moving on a given day in the Boston area. The Globe has answered my question.

Kid: Mommy, I'm gonna eat you up!

Mom: If you eat me up, who's gonna hold you?

Kid: Daddy will.

Mom: Where's Daddy?

Kid: At home.

Mom: Well, then you better not eat me up till we get home.

Kid: (Considers this for a second)...but you taste good!

Today we headed for Short Beach in Nahant. Tiff and I had both been to Long Beach before, but the Brothers Moran suggested that Short Beach was better, and since they grew up in Swampscott we figured they might know what they were talking about. Whenever I am driving back into Boston after having been away, I always look forward to seeing what's on the digital mural on the outside of the WGBH building, right next to the Pike. I spent last night with IT Chris at Common Ground in Allston, for their monthly "Cheap Thrills a Go-Go" night. Picture music of the sort you'd hear in Austin Powers and a bunch of people dancing like the Peanuts gang. It was truly excellent.

Um, for real? I had a long night last night, but at least it didn't end with the trolley I was riding in catching fire. Jesus Christ on a bike! 

So I'm walking from the gym to my office, minding my own business, when I begin to see some strange things...a Silver Line Bus going east on Comm Ave...a BPD officer directing traffic at an intersection that had working traffic lights and no discernible "issues"...what could it all mean?

It meant that just a couple blocks up, there was mayhem!
