and i hope he'll manage to do it!
this is very well-written and really beautiful! i love it!

He runs a thumb over Mohinder's cheekbone, across his lips. And because Mohinder's asleep and it's safe, he whispers with his mind, "I love you." And Mohinder doesn't stir, but he smiles, gently, and Sylar rests his head against dark curls and closes his eyes.

CUTE!
*gives you a cookie because this made my evening so much nicer*

Mmmm....cookies make my evening nicer!

Sylar's definitely intelligent enough to figure out a way to do it. I don't know how Mohinder would react, though, if he did something like that to Mohinder. But I think Sylar figures that if they both live forever, even if Mohinder is furious, sooner or later he'll be able to pull Mohinder back to him.

Thank you! :0)

This story caused this tingling in my chest that just makes me squee so badly.

SO MUCH HAPPINESS--Because Sylar's still a bad, bad killer, but so hopelessly in love. Beautifully written.

That's what makes the two of them so perfect together. Sylar would never be all sweet and woobie, he's always going to have that selfishness and problems dealing with his emotions, but I think he's definitely able to love someone. And Mohinder realizes this: even if he doesn't have proof Sylar's still taking abilities, he knows Sylar's still capable of it and that he likes doing it. But neither one of them can stop themselves from it.

I'm so glad you liked it. This one choked me up a little as I was writing it.

Because that would mean having to tell Mohinder about what it's like to lie beside him as he sleeps, to listen to every heartbeat, to every soft breath, and to think that he's one moment closer to being gone forever.

A knife. In my heart. My HEART.

This was beautiful because it shows how Sylar's every waking moment seems to be consumed with keeping the darkest part of himself away from Mohinder. The fear Sylar has of just messing it up is so normal and weak and human and awesome and...

I would say more but...well, here's an admission. You know, in all my months of reading what is a very angsty pairing, I've not cried over a single fic?

Until now.

A knife. In my heart. My HEART.
Honestly...it got to me when I wrote that. And I knew it was coming!

Sylar's never going to be "good", and because he likes what he's become so much, I see him more and more as changing only because he has to, in order to get something he wants. (From Mohinder.) And he's not just afraid of messing up in general, there's that lingering fear of being rejected: Mohinder's done that before, he still doesn't entirely trust Sylar, what if Sylar actually said that he loved Mohinder and Mohinder laughed in his face? And yes, he can hear Mohinder's thoughts now, but that's not the same thing as having Mohinder say it out loud for the world to hear. If one of them would only just say it...

I shall take the crying as a compliment and, um...I just realized that the next thing I'm going to be posting in the next few days is in a similar vein. You have been warned. *hugs*

This is beautiful and disturbing all at the same time. First I love the separate parts, with Mohinder's thoughts first and then Sylar's afterwards. They compliment each other (much like the characters) in what is revealed and what is held back. I love the conversation about why Sylar doesn't use his powers on Mohinder...it's something that makes complete sense (to me) with regards to the two of them ( ... )

What I really dig about the ending is that Sylar, to me, is justifying his actions and he's doing it in a way where he thinks he can convince Mohinder to see his pov (about the immortality). Oh yes! Exactly! The fact that he has to justify it should tell him that it's a bad idea, but he wants it so badly he's not going to let himself consider that, any more than he did when he was just murdering specials. When he went to get Adam's power, all he could see was that this would make him godlike. It wasn't till he had already taken the power--till it was too late--that he really thought about all the ramifications of it. And I do think he's thinking that even if Mohinder is furious with him, sooner or later he'll wear Mohinder down and get him back. He'll have all the time in the world for that ( ... )
