When I read this I was freaking out wondering why Mohinder was dead!

And then you cleared it up and saved me from getting a heart attack. Thank you!

Heh. Sorry for the heart attack!!! Hopefully it will make sense (and be interesting!) in the end. This was one where I worried that it might frustrate people as they tried to figure out what the @#&*$ was going on, but at the same time, I didn't want to spell everything out right at the beginning.

It was good you didn't spell it out...I figured out the time-travel element when the second part came and he was alive 'one year' [ago?] from something blah blah...lol

Anyway! This is super intriguing and I am looking forward to another part because it seems very, very GOOD. You've captivated my interest and that, is part 1.

Lol.

Sorry to take so long to reply - apparently LJ didn't feel like sending notifications to me!

I'm glad that the various visions of possible futures worked! I was worried that it might annoy people, but Mohinder was confused and disoriented by it, so I wanted to write it a little confusing just so readers would get the same feeling he had. Unfortunately, right now this is just a one-shot, though who knows if more ideas might strike me on it in the future...

I'm glad you enjoyed it! :0)

I hate it when Mohinder dies.

But this was very good, very subtle. I really enjoy the way you write.

I kind of felt bad for making Mohinder die (though I didn't realize just how much it would bother people!). But he didn't really die! He got warnings that he might die, and showed a path that would keep him alive for a long, long time! A path that would inevitably include Sylar watching over him every night!

Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it!

I love Mylar banter. Even though we haven't really had any of it in canon. But you just know that it would be great, with Mohinder's snarkiness and Sylar's quiet smartassery!

I think older Sylar/Mohinder was my favorite part of this (it's the part I wrote the most on!). I'd like to see some redemption for Sylar, but I'd like it to be REAL. And I liked this way of doing it: he stays on with decent human beings for his own purposes, but after years of being with them, and presumably having Mohinder slowly relax just because he wants a friend, he gradually starts behaving like a decent human being and caring about other people.

I'm really glad you liked this one!!!

How absolutely thrilling to see a new story posted by you! I always find your storytelling inspiring and the way you play with the characters not only pulls me in head first but reminds me of the great creativity that can come out of this fandom ( ... )

The confrontation with Peter has so much intensity. And again it's a future that feels it could happen -- Mohinder's own work unintentionally having catastrophic consequences. I like that this furthers the notion of Mohinder doing experimental research that gets out of hand...and to see him and Peter on different sides has a very compelling element to it. The anger from Peter is really powerful as is Mohinder's remorse. I loved this line: He wondered how long it would be before these moments had never even occurred. The future with Molly is heartbreaking. It has such a devastating feel to it captures the lives that would be turned upside down. Not only for Mohinder to be dead (by HRG?) but Molly thrust back into turmoil as Peter and Sylar have to sort it all out...and yet really she's all alone...again ( ... )
