WIN. Hiro's I loved beyond all measure!

So does this mean...if they rip him exactly in half...and each half regenerates...

I actually read a Doctor Who fic where this happened. Classic joke in the making?

HA!!!! Great minds obviously think alike! (And now I'm going to spend the whole morning thinking about having TWO Doctors around...)

I'm glad you liked this one!

This was so much fun to read. The Nathan and Claire bits made me snicker (who knew Claire was a Petrellicest shipper?), but then it got to Mohinder making his frantic call with Sylar casually being an evil bastard in the background, and Hiro's tribute to Nathan, and Sylar journal turning into an argument session... I LOLed. Serious zombie drama is good, but zombie-inspired crack is just as awesome. I've been hoping you'd post something zombie-related eventually, and this is great.

Also, I snickered at you setting the date of the TTLY INEVITABLE zombie apocalypse at...oh, about a week from now. ;)

EDIT: Because I can't spell made-up words. Or realise when I'm repeating myself.

Hee. That frantic phone call from Mohinder was the genesis of the story. But I thought it was too short to stand on its own, and thus, the diaries were born. (The phone call remains my favorite bit, though.) I was hoping to write more, but I ran out of inspiration, and I wrote the phone call bit clear back in...late March? a long time ago...and I decided I needed to just stop futzing and post it.

Sylar being an evil bastard is always fun, but it's even better with zombies. ;0)

I seriously needed this. :) This is total win, especially the Claire bit. :D

Things finally quieted down after Dad left us to go work for the Company, and I got my new cheerleading outfit

You can't guess how hard I LOLed at this, WIN!

Cracktasically fun! Love all the different diary entries and the transcript. What an amusing of detailing what's going on zombie-wise through peoples thoughts. What cracks me up the most is how they seem more concerned with their own personal issues than the bigger issue...and yet you still have the zombie attacks as this undercurrant of a theme.

Even in death Nathan can be such a wonderful bastard...Peter still complains too much...Claire is ditched by her mum for Mr. Muggles but finds comfort in her own self absorption...Hiro has this idealistic outlook...Bennet's still a dismissive ass...Sylar and Mohinder still bicker like a couple :-)

My problem with writing anything zombie-related is that I don't generally write fight scenes of any kind, let alone ones involving cutting the heads off the undead. So it was probably inevitable that the fic would wind up being more about the characters' foibles than about the zombiepocalypse itself. By the time I got to the end, I realized the zombies were barely even involved any more...but, let's face it, this fic was just an excuse for Sylar and Mohinder to snipe at each other. And you just know that, even with civilization crashing down around their ears, they'd wind up focused more on their personal bickering than on anything going on around them. ;0)

This is the perfect summary for this fic. I had to work very hard not to ( ... )
