"His mother, Janice, told the San Francisco Chronicle that her son had been watching television news and was upset by "the way Congress was railroading through all these left-wing agenda items."

Thank God no right-wing agenda items got railroaded through Congress during the previous administration. Especially after 09/11.

[/choke on that]

Also ... what "left-wing agenda items"? I have yet to see any freakin' legislation that has been even REMOTELY left-wing, let alone "radical left", like people keep saying.

Health care "reform" (yeah, it's done some good, but it's more centrist than anything)? Financial "reform"? Yeah, okay. We couldn't even pass the damn Defense Authorization Bill.

I triple dog dare you to find me a single non-right militia. Seriously, I've been looking.

OMG THANK YOU. Holy shit. I keep getting this "THE LEFT IS JUST AS BAD" bs from random people, and I'm like NO THE HELL THEY ARE NOT, HOW DO YOU EVEN THINK THIS?

Well, um... *looks guilty*

I'm one of those rare leftists who supports gun rights and would consider it my duty to become a "terrorist" if I believed all peaceful options for protecting my rights were eliminated. However, I also like to think I'm far more rational than a lot of the people on the right in determining when that line has been crossed.

As am I. :)

The difference between us and ... well, all the crazies running around today is, we didn't go shooting things up when Shrub Jr got "elected" and ran the country into the ground. Not to mention, most folks on the left aren't stoked about the "end times" (like I've seen far too often from the right), and tend to dislike Dem and Republican politicians equally, rather than reserving all dislike for one party.

For example, if there were some kind of actual tangible evidence of my actual rights (not my imaginary ones, like being 'forced' to pay taxes, have auto insurance and registration, etc), absofuckinglutely.

And of course, no discussion of modern far right violence is complete without mentioning the big bopper

I for one will not be able to rest until they capture that son of a bitch Buddy Holly.
