Okay, then. We know where you've been. Where are you going? Where do you see yourself in another decade? (Put your response in another post because LiveJournal's backup feature doesn't save comments, and we want to be pretty sure it's available in 10 years, just in case we want to see.)

Good idea, old chap. There's wishful thinking and then there's realistic thinking, though. Sadly they do not overlap entirely although they have a surprising amount in common. Score!

Quincy? I passed through Quincy one time back in '99. Thought it was kind of neat, actually, like a perfect archetype of a small-ish Midwestern town.

I can see that. There are parts of Quincy that are very pretty--a friend of mine from college who went to high school in St. Louis said that she took a field trip to Quincy to look at the architecture (sp?).

And it does have nice architecture. Big, older homes on tree-lined streets. Quite attractive. A good place to spend some time if it weren't for all the Republicans. And everything closing at 9 PM.
