Oooh, I like it! I always love fic of these two during this time in the show (but then again season 3 is when I really fell in love with Lost).

I really like the last paragraph, especially the broken china line. Tension is really the perfect way to describe the Others' camp.

I love the imagery of china breaking here and even more the idea of him replacing one kind of tension with another with her. It speaks volumes to what they both held onto and back from throughout this arc.

Thank you (as always)! :) Juliet was always so strangely proper about keeping up appearances--I thought that china would express both the display and the fragility aspects of her "act."
