Ok. So for Christmas I got this generic!ipod, called a Sansa. I'm just now hooking it up because I've been lazy, but even following the directions nothing's working. The book makes it sound like you plug it in, charge it, and then open the folder (it appears as an external drive). Then you drag your music into that folder and yey you have ( Read more... )

Do you have all system requirements like Windows Media Player 10 and up? Did you install the program and such before hooking it up and everything? And a dumb question, did you let it charge up at least overnight before trying to load anything onto it?

If anything, I'm sure there are sites for troubleshooting Sansa issues. I don't know what kind of Sansa you have, else I'd be able to look further, but try here: http://www.fixya.com/support/sandisk

I don't have WMP 10 s'far as I know, but neesan doesn't either and she was able to use the thing. There was no program to install. And yes I let it charge over three hours and it said 3.5 was enough and the charge signal hadn't been glowing for over an hour.

But is ok for now 'cause neesan managed to make it work at her house, so I have some musics now.

Ki-chan got a Sansa last year. She might be able to help you out; I remember she had a lot of problems getting it to work at first, too.
