OMG, I can't imagine the terror if my LJ posts were discovered on Facebook. Just, NO! The thought of it wants to make me delete my facebook and LJ accounts.

can you put this anywhere in the custom css page? i just did it but idk if i put it in the right spot, but yeah. lemme know if i did it right. lol.

i hate hate hate this whole new option thing, i am pretty sure that my flisters are smart enough/cool enough not to want to share things on facebook, but still, i just don't like that option, just incase.

Yep, anywhere on the custom css page. Just went to your FO post on IE (where I didn't install anything relating to this fiasco just so I can test to see if it's implemented somewhere via the CSS method as the script is running in Chrome, so that makes it not a good testing browser) and no Facebook line and no ticky boxes for Facebook and Twitter :)

Can you dumb this way down for me? I feel so out of the loop about this. Basically, it's the cross-posting that everyone wants to prevent, right? Are there other issues I should be worried about? What exactly should I do if I just want to keep LJ within LJ's realm?

Go here and make sure you say Yes for "Use external stylesheets" (third drop down menu).

Then add .b-repost-item, #fblo {display:none;} in the text field for "Custom stylesheet."

Then "Save Changes."

I think that should do it though I'm suddenly remembering that Basic or Plus accounts might not allow this modification since custom reply pages are a paid feature, I think. I have a paid account, so may not work, but give it a go and if it doesn't work, let me know. I'll give you something that will make you not see the Repost to ticky boxes, but it only works on the computer you install the script on. And let me know what browser you have, ok?
