WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!

How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labelled with the year and class. Then, students reply and we carry out one of our OOC logs. For examples of how our OOC logs are carried out, please go hereIf you find that events are carried out in the ( Read more... )

Library - Assistant Librarian beautifulreader November 29 2010, 18:38:20 UTC
Huh. Someone put a notice at the entrance to the library for people to wipe their feet before entering. Better heed that warning, Hogwarts~

General Areas;
➢ Here and there, shelving books. Keeping your library in order and helping whoever needs it.

Office; (The door is always open.)
➢ No paperwork today, so Belle has her nose in a rather large, old book. At times, she might be found staring outside at the snow, with a fond look in her eye. Ah, memories~

Leoben is out in the stacks today, looking for a few books, on a variety of subjects.

Oh hay thar!

Belle passes him as she's shelving, reading simultaneously, and then backtracks after a few moments. Had to put those books away, after all. Is he finding everything alright?

Leoben is about to respond that he's fine, but then thinks better on it, and asks where he might find some books on Dragon Eggs.

Potions Years 6-7 lustsexmagic November 29 2010, 18:50:59 UTC
Last week, Professor Raith had his wand arm in a sling. The sling is gone this week and no, he's still not talking about it. But where last week was a lot of discussion and demonstration of how to preserve and harvest herbs for potions, we're back to the actual potions this week.

It's winter. That means colds. So today, the class will be doing Pepperup Potions. It's a very useful potion to know for yourself, after all.

Rikku has a cloth over her nose. Anything with pepper in it makes her worry about getting some up her nose and sneezing like a fiend.

Well, the sneezing is kind of the point of the potion. But masks are a good idea, yes.

She's in a really good mood, although she appears to be a little sheepish about that whole dancing on the staff table thing.

Okay they're not really going to do any work-work today. Instead, she wants to have a discussion, so she's going to start y'all off by asking 'When was the last time you spoke to a Muggle not a member of your family?'

This past week when he was back home to visiting his parents, when he went out shopping with his mother they went to some Muggle shops and he talked with a few boys his age. Of course, not understanding Muggle television nor the shows he didn't really understand much of what was being discussed.

It was interesting, to say the least.

Ah, television and electronics they'll be going more into depth on next year, but the basic idea is that, in the same way wizarding photos move, they've found a way to recreate that for an extended period of time, and with sound. It's one of the main forms of entertainment in the world, so there are a lot of different shows out there. Some of them are engaging stories, but then most of them are crap. And some are both :|a

Interesting in what way?

Lilo stares at the stone gremlin. It kind of looks like Stitch when he wakes up in the morning before his coffee.

Just with wings.

Would giving it coffee work as well? It might cheer it up so it doesn't make that face anymore.

Law defiesthesky November 30 2010, 03:57:23 UTC
It's his first week without the younger students. He has to admit that he'll miss a few of those classes. Their input was nearly always the most creative.

Still, that now gives him more room to focus on the older students. Today, he's assigning you research papers on a law of their choosing, 3-4 pages long. It should detail what exactly the law is, how it came about, and how it is used in the wizarding world today with examples. Cite your sources, people.

You'll be presenting them at the beginning of class next week.

They'll be heading over to the library to get a headstart on their papers. Approach Cid when you've decided on your subject or when you would like the mun to make up a law for you.

Hey Professor.

Could Mulan do her report on the international laws against hunting dragons? Or would he rather a different law?

Re: Years 6-7 defiesthesky December 1 2010, 04:16:23 UTC
Certainly. Any law is fair game. He'll just write that down so no one else in the class does a report on the same law.

Out of curiosity (and because it's his job to know), what made you choose that law above all the others, Miss Fa?
