WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!

How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labelled with the year and class. Then, students reply and we carry out one of our OOC logs. For examples of how our OOC logs are carried out, please go hereIf you find that events are carried out in the ( Read more... )

Spell Theory and Creation [All Years] the_rapturing November 15 2010, 08:21:36 UTC
He's been preoccupied the last few weeks. He's mostly focused again. Let's get some teaching done!

Nod of acknowledgement. Keri.

A wave of her wand: the diamond reforms. It's got a specific shape though: it's an apple, now.

He's impressed. His students seem to know more than he expected. He'll have to think up some different exercises in the coming weeks.

A very srs nod in return (okay she is totally frowning like a five year old trying to be an adult). Lilith.

Hers explodes again. This time, the explosion shapes itself into Lilith's face. It's smiling.

Keri loves excitement! And explosions! She creates cast a spell that appears to be pretty average, right up until it explodes, and the resulting explosion (controlled, of course) turns into a perfect replica of Cas' face.

He's taken aback. He's never had his face in an explosion before. Very good.

Keri likes to make dreams come true, Professor.

He wouldn't exactly call it a dream, but he appreciates the sentiment. She has talent, that's for certain.

Jim isn't as keen on fire spells as some people. He much rather likes wind and air spells better. Explosions are fun though. He came prepared in case the first attempt failed ( ... )

Cas will take that into note. Maybe one of their upcoming classes can be on that. He'll have to see what else he has planned.

That's an interesting spell, complicated to be certain. If he wants any suggestions or help, Castiel is here to offer them.

Whenever or what ever is planned for that, it will be a sure fact that Jim will be delighted during that class, that's for sure.

As for help, yes, he would like to know a bit more on how to improve this. He knows how to set up a wall of fire, but he wants to ask on how to fine tune a throw-able object for castless explosion/walls of fire. If it's practical or not.

He also thinks the wind element might make it unstable....

It is, but it can take a lot of skill to make sure it activates when needed.

Perhaps once they return from winter break it would be a great section to cover.

As always, he's here to listen. He isn't that good at conversing, but feel free to stop by. He'll do his best. but really he wasn't meant for this teaching students thing.

Knock, knock? Mulan has questions for you. Mostly about some multilingual spell incantations. She's hit a rough part in some of her theories that are probably not completely for class.

He's not familiar with all version of spells. He's most familiar with ancient languages. This is definitely something new. He'll help with what he can and promise to look more into the subject for her.

A grateful nod and word of thanks. She's mostly having issue with picking up in the right concoction, ie; which to follow up with which, without making it any longer but still tricky for those who can't understand at least one of the languages to grasp what's being cast.
