WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!
How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labelled with the year and class. Then, students reply and we carry out one of our OOC logs. For examples of how our OOC logs are carried out, please go

He attempted to build a small thin glass ball (three would fit in a hand very easy) that looked to be swirling with a red substance inside. When thrown/dropped and broken the swirling substance exploded into a swift up shoot of fire... or it should have. He worked on it for a while after all. It should have shot fire up and out as a deterrent. Instead it fizzled out to campfire sized and died swiftly. With a pleading "Wait, wait, wait..." he pulled out a second one in frustration.
On a second attempt with a different ball, when levitated and dropped in the controlled environment, the explosion this time shot up and was guided by a swirl of wind as well, fanning the flam out wide and into a twisted whirling round barrier/wall that lasts for about 30 seconds before it puts itself out leaning nothing but small shards of the original glass ball.
He doesn't seem pleased with the end results and wants to work on it more...

That's an interesting spell, complicated to be certain. If he wants any suggestions or help, Castiel is here to offer them.

As for help, yes, he would like to know a bit more on how to improve this. He knows how to set up a wall of fire, but he wants to ask on how to fine tune a throw-able object for castless explosion/walls of fire. If it's practical or not.
He also thinks the wind element might make it unstable....

Perhaps once they return from winter break it would be a great section to cover.
