It was strange being back at Hogwarts.

Having unpacked and settled her things in, Nanao was touring the castle, reaquanting herself with it. So that she would know the most efficient route from one area to another, of course.

Her wandering researching had kept her up later than normal and so she was now using her wand to light the way down the corridors. She might not have needed it, the moonlight streaming in the windows was bright enough by itself.

It was the moon's light that revealed the transluscent form of a ghost further down the corridor. As she walked closer, she found it was an elegant lady, who Nanao had not met before.

"Good evening." she inclined her head in greeting.

The Black Lady glanced briefly over her shoulder when she heard foot steps approach, interrupting her thoughts, the sound of long forgotten laughter that had filled her ears, in the most hideous of ways with their click-click-taping sound. Heels. Not everyone could wear them properly. Truly, a pity.

And that light. It wasn't natural. It wasn't actually quite disgusting, the energy it exerted. Interrupting the beautiful, pure glow of the moonlight that gently bathed all below it. Not unlike how those disgusting Neo Warriors had interrupted, no tainted, her beautiful, pure life.

Tsk.

"It was.",The Black Lady responded with a dignified sniff before turning her gaze back to the window. Her expression was slightly marred by a frown. It may not of been a perfect evening, perfect nights had long ago been lost, but it had been a decent one.

So she was that kind of ghost. Well. She should have known better, some ghosts were obviously less amiable than others, after all.

Nanao knew better than to waste her time in idle conversation when her presence was unwanted. "Then I will leave you to your solitude," she said stiffly.

She walked past the ghost, her back poker straight, an impassive look on her face.

"If you wish, darling.",The Black Lady replied softly, a slight smirk quirking at her lips. Some people, most people, were so easy to read and figure out. It almost didn't make the games that could be played fun and she could use some fun, after losing the perfection the night had been.

"The night is already ruined."
