The frog had, for the most part of the day, attached herself to Nobu's shoulder, croaking constantly in his ear. Not that it was too annoying. Just moderately so. Grenouille's saving grace, besides the fact that the frog was kind of cute, was that she was really cheerful.

Nobu liked cheerful.

He was lost in his thoughts though as Grenouille chirped in her froggy voice, thinking of the upcoming ball and his time with Hachi before he finally noticed Orihime. Noticed her a little too late as the guitarist bumped right into her, stumbling back a little bit, blushing slightly.

"Or-Orihime!"

The frog croaked loudly in greeting.

Laughing and apologising, Orihime rubbed her nose. "Sorry! Chou-kun was distracting me and I wasn't looking where I was going-" she blinked, finally recognising who she'd bumped into. "Nobu-chan! Hello!"

She beamed in pleasure and was about to call Chou-kun down to meet him when she noticed the frog on his shoulder. "Ah! Is this your animal, Nobu-chan?" She leant in close to inspect the cute green frog. "She's very cute!"

Nobu-chan? Nobu laughed in kind, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, even as Grenouille grumbled something in his ear about how that was not a very masculine way to refer to him. But Orihime was a really nice girl, even if she was odd. And she was really pretty, he thought to himself, even as he blushed slightly and adverted his gaze from her certain... assets.

"O-oh, yeah! This is Grenouille. Grenouille, this is Orihime." The little green frog puffed in response to being called cute, clearly pleased. "Is your a butterfly? It fits you."

Clarice just barely managed to dodge Orihime when she made her way to the staircase, stumbling a little but she was able to catch herself in time and still keep a good hold on her daemon-type creature. "Oh! I'm sorry-" She paused to look up at who she almost ran into. "-Orihime..."

Her aardvark (Alex as he called himself) was nestled in her arms and curled up in a ball, as best as he could, he had been like that for quite some time now. She had to take a step back and bow in apology, not that she would be in any trouble at all with Orihime whom didn't seem to mind in the least about little mishaps like this.

She looked up at the orange butterfly that belonged to the older girl. "Does that...belong to you?"

Orihime brightened. "Clarice-chan!" She beamed at her, and quickly returned the bow with one of her own. Politeness was important, after all!

"Yes! That's Chou-kun." she followed the girl's gaze up. "Come down and say hello." she instructed. The butterfly did so, landing gently on Clarice's head. H-hello he managed. He was a little shy around other people.

"Oh!" Orihime noticed at last the ball curled up in Clarice's arms. "It's so cute!" She leaned closer to get a better look.

Chao blinked and took a step back from whoever she had run into. Her head instinctively shook, but only grew into smile when she noticed who it was.

"Good morning to you, Orihime!" Chao chirped, her mood suddenly feeling a whole lot better than it was seconds ago. There was just something about the 6th year girl that always made every day seem just a shade brighter.

"With children like her, it's no wonder the inbreds think so low of everyone else." A woman's voice interjected. Not that Orihime could hear the Cobra's words as it slithered up from behind Chao. Stheno was fairly nice looking reptile and large at that. Her lengthy bronze-scaled body was pressed against the wall and extended several meters down the hallway. It was a pain traveling with her freakishly long companion and it only seemed safe for any bystanders if the Cobra traveled while hugging the corners of the wall ( ... )

When she saw who it was, Orihime burst into a matching smile. "Morning, Chao-chan! This has turned into an interesting week, hasn't it?"

She missed the quick glare Chao sent to the snake along the wall. She turned to follow Chao's gaze up to her butterfly instead. "Yup! That's Chou-kun," The butterfly, noticing the attention, fluttered down towards the two girls. She's pretty too!

"Chou-kun says you're pretty too!" Orihime passed on as the butterfly circled the two girls. "Where's Sth- Seth- Sthn" Orihime stumbled over the unfamiliar word. "Your animal?"
