An orange butterfly flew through a doorway. It looked oddly out of place in the grey stone corridors of Hogwarts.
Orihime followed a few feet behind it, a wide grin plastered over her face. "If you go down there you'll find our Charms classroom, and over there is the way to the library- "
It had been a pleasant surprise, waking up to find a large talking orange butterfly perched on her nose. He (Orihime was pretty sure he was a he) had introduced himself as Choukichi, and wasn't sure why he was there either- but it was very nice to meet her all the same!
Right now she was giving him a tour of the castle, finding out that she wasn't the only person who'd had an animal suddenly show up that morning. There were bears and foxes and birds all over the place, which was quite exciting! Orihime stepped out of the way of a badger, and looked up in time to see the butterfly fly straight into a painting.
Ooof-. Chouki had flown up to inspect a portrait of a particularly nice landscape and was now a little miffed that it hadn't been real after all. Orihime laughed, craning her neck to look up at him. "Chou-kun! That's a picture, not a real place!"
The butterfly inspected it, and Orihime got the impression it was puzzling over it. "Come on, Chou-kun. I'll take you outside."
She turned around, about to make for the nearest stairs.
And walked right into someone.
