Ashe was, to the uninformed eye, perfectly fine in all respects and that was the way she wanted it to seem. In reality, she was a mess. Things had happened last night that she had never expected, she was terrified she'd messed up a perfectly good relationship, and Rangiku had gotten herself trashed today.

Things were certainly looking gloomy at best.

The Head of Gryffindor had agreed to meet with her friend from school, not the blonde she normally spoke with, but someone she knew she needed to spend a little more time with. Clearing up some of the mess in her office, Ashe prepared it for her guest. As soon as she heard the knock, she hopped up and pulled it open, smiling as she saw Sophie on the other end.

"Hello, Sophie. How are you doing?"

Sophie put on a small grin as her old school friend opened the office door. It really had been to long since they had a good talk.

"Aside from the mess I worked myself into? Well enough I suppose." She answered as she slid into the office. It was far larger than her own, but then again a librarian did not really need a big office.

"What about you?" She asked, turning to face her friend. Oh, Ashe did seem collected and fine, but Sophie could still note the slight tension about her shoulders- There was definitely something troubling her. "And please, be honest. It may have been awhile, but I would like to think I still know you well enough to know when you aren't exactly saying everything that needs to be said Ashe."

At first, Ashe's smile remained on her face as she closed the door behind Sophie, but as soon as her friend began to speak, the expression started to slide from her lips. By the time the librarian had finished, she was looking away pointedly with a rather reserved expression on her face.

Apparently, she'd been found out.

"I've been better," she admitted, knowing it really wouldn't be good to attempt lying to Sophie. For one thing, it wasn't fair to the other woman, but it also wouldn't be good to ruin yet another friendship. She'd done enough damage to one as it was.

"What about yourself? This is the second time in less than half an hour that you have mentioned working yourself into a mess. What happened?"

Sophie bit at her lip as Ashe jumped right into asking questions. She had been hoping to work her way up to that one- oh well.

"It's- A terrible mess." She said with a sigh as she sat in a vacant chair. "I have quite possibly fallen for the worst person one could ever fall for." At that she laughed, as if she was still at disbelief with herself.

"Ridiculous...." She sighed as shook her head.
