Roxas was late as usual by the time he made it to his seat. It had taken the Divinations professor a little while to get everything together for class, and it had just started with the beginning of the third week. So of course...Roxas had gotten the message after everyone else (as he didn't talk to any of them, of course), and was now tardy. For what probably felt like the hundredth time this term.

He sat down hurriedly, and pulled out his quill and parchment. He dug around for his ink bottle and set it clumsily on the table, accidentally spilling nearly a quarter of it in his haste as it wobbled back and forth.

"Sorry I'm late!" Sora cried, tripping into class. He grinned sheepishly, crashing into the seat next to Roxas and knocking his ink bottle over completely. He didn't notice this, flashing a sheepish grin at the teacher as he was. "I got lost..." he admitted, the sleeve of his robes absently dragging through Roxas' split ink. He turned to flail at his twin. "Which wouldn't have happened if someone had just waited for me!"

Ink splattered across his brother's face, and Sora blinked. "Eheh...oops?"

Oh my, Shalice thought. This, on my first day.

"I'll make an exception for tardiness today," she said, addressing the class at large. "But any from now on will be punished in whatever way I see fit at that particular time."

Looking at Sora and Roxas, she smiled. "Twins, hmm? This should be interesting," she said. "You may want to clean yourselves, up though."

"Often," the professor said, once again addressing the class, "twins have particular abilities in Divination and other related fields. They can appear to communicate through thought alone, or know what the other is doing even when separated by many thousands of miles. Sometimes they will have visions about the other. Obviously," she grinned, nodding at Roxas and Sora, "this is not the case with these two."

"Damn it Sora," Roxas cursed, just loud enough for his twin to hear. It was already annoying that Roxas had been singled out for being late, now he was singled out for his brother's sake as well. And his face was covered in black smears.

The blond didn't even speak as he stood up, intending to walk to the bathroom to wash off his face. Thankfully, none of it had gotten on his robes.

Lana stepped in the door on time, ignoring - or at least appearing to - everything around her as she sat down in the front row, but off to the side. She didn't know who else was going to show up to this class, or even why she was here really, but she figured she may as well actually go to classes this week.

Taking out her book, piece of parchment, and a quill, she laid her things on the desk and awaited further instruction.

Swan had arrived early to get her seat, but spotting someone she didn't know - the new Ravenclaw transfer, she assumed - she quietly slipped out of her seat with a smile to Shal-- Professor Tilman-Sinclair. The blonde quietly slipped into the seat next to the new girl and offered a hand.

"Hi! I'm Swan. You must be the new transfer student."

Lana hadn't expected to be approached by anyone, let alone another student, and so she blinked a little before taking the offered hand and shaking it, grip firm and unyielding.

"Lana Skye. Yes, I am."

She'd been here as long as the rest of them and yet somehow everyone knew she'd transferred. Word got around fast.

Smiling at Lana, Swan returned the firm grip. "Nice to meet you, Lana. If you ever need help with anything, I'd be glad to help."

She turned to the front of the class and returned her attention to the professor. "She's really great, huh?" she asked in a hushed whisper.

Ino looked up from her textbook at the new professor, a smirk tugging at her lips as the poor Hufflepuff fled from the classroom.

She twirled her quill between her finger, and leaned forward. Maybe Swan had been right about this new professor actually been worth listening to.

Karin sauntered into class, just barely on time, and took her seat next to Ino.

"So attentive, Yamanaka," she sighed, absently inspecting a lock of red hair before glancing over at the new professor. "Of course, with a teacher like that, who wouldn't be?"

Glancing over at Karin, Ino's smirk turned into a grin. "Agreed." She pushed her textbook over so that Karin could look at it, and knocked her shoulder against the other girl's.
"How are you?" She asked quietly, hoping the professor wouldn't notice.

"So, you're Ino Yamanaka, hmm?" she said, frowning slightly at the blonde. "Somehow I was led to believe you had an interest in Divination."

She glanced at Karin briefly, a smirk of understanding settling on her features. "While you're in this class, you're meant to be paying attention to this redhead, okay?" she said, pointing at herself.

"Karin, would you please come talk to me before leaving?" Shalice said after dismissing the class. "I would like to be able to help you, but I need to know what's going on so I can do that."

"Help me?" Karin raised an eyebrow and folded her arms. "You already offered lessons. I wasn't aware they started immediately."

Slinging her bag onto her back, Ino paused before leaving. Odds were the professor didn't want her around if she needed to talk to Karin, but still...

"Professor, can I talk to you sometime?" She flicked her fringe out of her eyes and glanced at Karin, wondering if the other girl would want her to stick around.

Shalice barely resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "Clearly," she said to Karin, "the help you need is of the urgent variety. I can give you that help, and I can do it now. But if you want to stay unprotected and unable to control yourself, by all means, leave."

The professor turned to smile at Ino, nodding. "Of course you can. Maybe later today, if you have a free block of time? I'll be in my office once I'm done here," she said. "You're welcome to come by any time."
