It wasn't Edward's habit to meddle at all, in fact he preferred to live in his own little world of studying. He'd grown used to moving staircases, talking pictures and the other students around him.

What he wasn't used to was seeing someone head for the roof. He caught a glimpse of the boy with orange hair heading up for the roof and sighed. He hoped he wasn't going to jump off, that would be incredibly messy...and probably he'd wind up being responsible somehow.

That, he definitely didn't need. He pushed his notes into his bag and followed after Kyo, the exact route he took from what he could see, although when it came to climbing, he was out of practice and somewhat slower as he'd never thought about sitting on the roof himself.

Finally he caught sight of Kyo while hanging on, dangling a little and sucked in a few breaths. "You aren't going to jump are you?" Somehow this wasn't what he thought he'd be doing as a prefect, honestly.

Kyo hadn't expected to have any company. For a school with magic flying brooms, not many students took to the roofs, at least that he was aware of. He didn't bother looking over when Edward climbed out onto the roof. He kind of recognized him as another Slytherin, but that was about it that stuck out in his mind.

Of course, Edward's question made him nearly fall off the roof. He couldn't be serious, could he? "Why the hell would I do something retarded like that?"

He hoisted himself up properly and took a seat, a respectful distance away from Kyo. It was really really high up there, he thought.

Edward arched an eyebrow and looked at him. "Well I don't know, maybe you're depressed...maybe you think you can fly. You can't. Not without a broom anyway."

He sighed a little, he didn't actually know the other boy's name, but he'd seen him around. "Not that I'm prying or I want to hear about it or anything. Not really the kind of guy people open up to. I'm Edward."

Kyo wasn't sure if this guy was joking or what. Did he look like he was depressed...well okay maybe he did. Why did this guy care though? "I'm not stupid or crazy! I know I can't fly!" This guy was making some stupid assumptions. He looked away, off into the distance, "I just come up here to think and be alone, that's all."

Not that the second part was happening apparently. "Kyo," he replied, begrudgingly.

Karin spotted her fellow Slytherin sixth year sitting on the roof and walked towards him, being careful not to slip.
"Kyo." She stood there, looking down at his sitting form.

There was a breeze, and as her hair blew, she kept one hand holding onto her glasses at all times.

Karin may have been a fellow sixth year Slytherin, but Kyo tended to avoid the girls if he could, his condition being what it was after all. He was surprised she was out here and was starting to wonder about finding a different spot on the roof. Clearly this one was popular.

Karin smirked. "Nothing~ But you should be careful, someone could push you off." She still stood over him, her other hand perched on her hip.

Pushing him off of the roof might be fun, but it would attract a ton of unwanted attention from the teachers, and getting expelled was not a option.

Kyo snorted in response to that. "What? Like you? Good luck." He wouldn't put it past her. She looked like the type. But he knew there was probably a window ledge he could grab on before hitting the ground.

Yeah, he was being optimistic. He could probably kick her ass and toss her off the roof before she got him. Kyo didn't particularly care for the way she stood over him either.

Tohru had spotted Kyo as she had been returning the the Hufflepuff house, so she paused in her trip and before she knew it she was following him. Her thoughts were racing through her head as her feet moved on their own. She was certain she would only be a bother to him, since he did look like he wanted to be alone, but she hadn't had a chance to apologize properly for whatever it was that had happened in the library. She still didn't understand what happened, but she was certain she had upset Kyo, and most likely Yuki as well.

She followed him all of the way to the roof and managed to be quiet until tripped, causing quite a bit of noise. "Oh! Ah...I'm sorry! I didn't mean to...ah..."

Kyo hadn't noticed Tohru following him until she basically tripped onto the roof. Kyo jerked around, eyes wide, "What the hell are you doing out here?" True, he'd encountered a few other people on the roof, but the girl didn't seem like the type to be out on any roof. Great, now he was going to have to make sure she didn't fall off and kill herself.

As Tohru flared he couldn't help but stare at her for a moment. Was she being serious? Did she really think SHE had somehow made him turn into a cat? Well, sure her hugging him had done that, but it wasn't like she was the cause of the curse. "How stupid can you be? You didn't make anything happen...that's just how it is with this damn family." He snorted and looked away, hoping if he ignored her she would just go away. "It's none of your business what I do to that rat boy."
