Chiyo/Undine/Jean/Sebastian - The Kitchens magicalmoebeams November 30 2009, 20:01:53 UTC
Chiyo was afraid. And confused. But mostly afraid. One minute, Undine-senpai had been taking her to the kitchen for cupcakes, and the next... she was very large, very angry, and yelling something about lions and wars.

Hand shaking, Chiyo picked up a cupcake from the tray, and held it out to her fellow Hufflepuff. "C-cupcake, senpai?" she asked.

"I don't want a fucking cupcake!" Undine screamed, confusion and frustration making her lash out as she slapped the cupcake out of Chiyo's head, "There are goddamn yoma, you little shit, don't you understand that?! Get your ass to a safe place and do it RIGHT FUCKING NOW GODDAMN!"

This was the most irritating experience of her life. Her troops were gone, and she had no idea where the fuck they were, and some little human twerp was offering her sweets.

"What the fuck is this shit?!" She growled, starting to pace angrily.

Apparently, Undine did not want a cupcake. The shaking traveled up from Chiyo's hand to her arm, until finally her whole body was shaking.

"Uh, um, actually..." she said, voice quavering with fear. "There are no yoma in the United Kingdom." It was true. The gut-eating magical creatures lived only on mainland Europe, the icy waters of the channel that separated the United Kingdom from the rest of Europe had kept the yoma from entering. So of course, Chiyo had no idea what Undine was talking about. "They wouldn't be able to, um, get into the school anyway..."

Undine just snorted at that, "What are you? Blind as well as stupid? Yoma are all over the goddamn place. And they're fucking attacking the northern part of the country and-" she huffed, "And why the fuck am I explaining this to you?! You're obviously out of the fucking loop."

Undine growled, rolling her shoulders and reaching over her back for her swords. It was yoma slaying time-

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY SWORDS!?" She glared at Chiyo, "You took them, didn't you?!"

Ravenclaw Common Room mr_varimathras November 30 2009, 20:12:50 UTC
Varimathras was not exactly worried, but not calm either. He had been told to guard the children, and had agreed. After all, he wasn't that fond of the thought of being hounded by rabid students.

So, he stood there silently, arms crossed and watching. Always watching.

Teresa was more amused than concerned about the situation, as was her way, but she had been asked to keep watch over the unaffected children in Ravenclaw, and she was not inclined to 'patrol' or whatever the young warrior who had assumed control over the student body was calling it. Standing around while a bunch of children played games or cried or whatever it was humans did was not her particular cup of tea, but it was better than the alternative, and she'd have to do one or the other in order to remain employed. So guarding the common room it was.

As she entered the room, she saw the other professor that had been assigned the same duty. "Ah," she said, smirking. "I wasn't aware they allowed monsters in schools."

Varimathras didn't respond at first, just studying the newcomer with the faintest hint of curiousity. Usual human, usual voice, not so usual smell. Not that sweet, sweet smell of fear or terror he was accustomed to, nor the coppery smell of defiance.

"You don't smell human." Was all that he said, now staring at her with narrowed eyes and bared teeth.

A raised eyebrow was Teresa's only response to the once-over the tall, monstrous Ancient Runes professor gave her. As a warrior, she'd grown used to hideous creatures like him, and not even the most disgusting monster imaginable would make her bat an eye. That he radiated a yoma-like energy did not surprise her.

"Oh?" she said. "I must not have washed my hands as thoroughly as I'd imagined." Lips still curved upward in that near-mocking smile, she leaned against one of the columns that lined the wall. "My seventh year class is studying yoma, you see." The inflection on the word was slight, but there. If Varimathras caught it, he could take whatever he liked from it.

Medic thread, open to any healers/injured folks/people who think they're healers... notyourchairjim November 30 2009, 20:21:15 UTC
Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. The entire school was falling to pieces, yet another insane curse or another causing them to behave like animals in a zoo. And naturally, it was up to McCoy to put the pieces back together. Typical. Absolutely typical.

With a heavy sigh, McCoy unrolled a few medical scrolls as well as opened his potions kit. He had the feeling he was going to be needing them.

He also popped a few aspirins. He had a feeling he was going to be needing those too.

One of these days, Hatori was going to need to be on the other side of these spells. The insane side. He could not take the growing migraine he was recieving from having to deal with the muck Headmaster Cid seemed to unleash upon the school.

As he approached the student with the scrolls and potions kit, he felt a sigh of relief bubbling up in his chest that he would not have to deal with this on his own. He wondered as to where Joy could have gotten to, hoping that she was as unaffected by this as he was.

"You come well prepared," Hatori said, glancing at the pills.

McCoy snorted, looking over his shoulder with furrowed eyebrows, "I have three varieties. Comes in use more than the damn anti-migraine potion, knowing how often accidents happen here," he said, jiggling the pill bottle in front of Hatori in offer.

"I'm McCoy. Seeing as you look like you have common sense, I'm assuming you're the new Nurse."

Hatori nodded at the offer, taking the bottle from McCoy and taking a couple of the pills before handing the bottle back. "I am in agreement. There is nothing wrong with the use of modern Muggle medicine." After all, the Healer had expertise in many areas of medicine. "Thank you."

He tried to not twitch at the word 'nurse'. Of course, in the most simplest and basic of terms, that is what he was. Here. He was a doctor, really. A damn doctor, but the term was worth getting away from Akito Sohma. "Hatori Sohma."

Entrance/Grounds elricwizard November 30 2009, 20:34:54 UTC
It had taken a substantial amount of time to get up all those stairs so Edward was grumbling under his breath by the time he reached what looked like huge doors to outside. Finally.

Briefly he wondered where Alphonse was, but dismissed it for the moment. He had to get back on track, to head towards the Drachman border.

Unaffected by the spell, Havoc had offered himself to stand watch on the main doors for a while. The way some of the students were acting, he wouldn't be surprised if they decided that Hogwarts wasn't where they wanted to be.

Guard duty was easy and didn't take all that much effort, and so Havoc loved it. He wished he could've had a smoke while waiting, but rules were rules- whether Hogwarts was going mad or not.
A solitary student approaching the door caught his attention, and Havoc tried to look a little more official.

"Where are you off you?" he asked easily.

He knew that voice. Edward stared openly at him. "Lieutenant Havoc!" His eyes were a little wide. "You're...I thought you were injured!"

He hurried over to him, head tilted. "Did you get automail or something? I thought they couldn't. That's what Mustang said."

Havoc sifted through the faces he'd memorised before coming up with a name. Edward Elric, fifth year Slytherin.

He blinked as the kid recognised him. "Lieu- ...You- must be thinking of my older brother, Jean Havoc. He's the one in the army, not me."
Though Havoc didn't show it, it was unnerving to be recognised. He'd known the kid knew Roy and was having extra classes with him, but... how would the kid know him?

Havoc forced himself to laugh. "Automail? What for? I'm all fit and healthy."

Hallways; Apollo. Sakura. Komachi. fergreatjustice November 30 2009, 20:47:47 UTC
"Sakura, .." He whispered, none too loudly, should one of the affected be nearby. He stopped, shaking his head momentarily. Just what was he doing, they were not zombies. Yet. The student body, and some of the Professors were just a bit confused, as well as under a strange spell cast by the Headmaster. He sighed, looking up and down the vacant hallway. Damnit. He had to find Sakura. He had told Komachi they would be there soon, and he didn't, exactly, want to keep her worried. Thankfully, she hadn't moved from her room, so finding her wouldn't be hard. It was just the getting there that could prove to be a bit difficult.

Sakura was almost getting used to running around like a crazy person in this school. It wasn't something that she wanted to be used to, but she supposed it came in handy when they had situations like this going on.

She rounded a corner, keeping one eye on her open journal and the other on where she was going as he did so. She was on the verge of making a voice post to find Apollo so they could hunt down Komachi, when she found herself on the verge of walking right into him. Thankfully, she managed to avert that at the last minute.

"Ah, Apollo!" She gave him a distracted smile. "Are you doing okay?"

He looked down at the journal, albeit a bit frantically. He was thankful that Komachi had decided to stay in her room, in favor of exploring the crazy castle. He blew out a another sigh, snapping the journal shut as he started walking down the hall, his brain buzzing with tens, of hundreds, of thoughts.

Just as Nurse Sohma had said, this was nothing like the Masquerade. It was worse. That had, at least, been confined to one room, while this was spanning the entire school. What rotten luck this school had, but then, what was he to expect at a school for Witches and Wizards. He shook his head, again, on the verge of a headache. Why could he had just gone to law school, like a normal boy. His thoughts, however, were interrupted as Sakura nearly ran into him ( ... )

"I think it was more me bumping into you, really. Sorry about that!" Sakura's smile turned from distracted to relieved. "Oh, thank god. Smart girl, the last thing she needs to be doing is wandering around this madhouse on her own."

She pinched the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes for a moment to fend off an impending headache. "Okay, let's go. Keep your wand out, and if we do come across anyone who looks to be going crazy in a dangerous way, stun first and ask questions later. Miria wants us to put them in empty rooms until the fun blows over." The way she said it made it pretty clear that she wasn't finding this situation fun at all.
