Name(s): Lady [open]
Location: The library! Like a true Arkham, lol Restricted section
Week: 39
Time: Likely this evening
Rating: Standard PG rating, I guess...

One more time, she decided. Once more, Lady was back in the Restricted Section once more, standing atop a very wobbly chair. She tried once more, yet the last efforts had come up short when researching sacrifices and more dark arts. The more she looked further into it, the more came up short. Every gruesome detail that she refused to recount had winded up in notes and faint images in her half-asleep mind.

Yet it was still a top priority, investigating this horrible thing. The very thing that Lady refused to keep in her mind, the one that would always grow worse each night, with nightmares. Ignoring the tired aching in her joints, Lady was back, again, ignoring the librarian's previous warnings not to climb up on the shelves. But her hands were set on a worn, shot binding of a book... Not a grimoire, no. A text about medieval demonic pacts, from the 13th century. Germany. The description sounded perfect, after all, yet with the feeling of sleepless nights creeping up on her made her less careful with her footing.

The binding finally met the tips of her fingers, then the very hand that she was reaching for. A sigh! Slowly descending down, her food connected with the wrong part of the chair... the edge of the seat. Pressing back, it caused it to be pushed back, letting a large clatter against the ground. She almost fell, of course, but quickly with one hand, Lady managed to grab the edge of the shelf.

"Damn it." That was too loud. She paused, in a small frustrating realization of her awkward position.

She had no choice but to let go, and with one foot on the ground, after the other, she descended... but not quietly. The book, thankfully, fell back into her arms. And with a loud sigh, Lady was oblivious to her notes spread out on the table with gruesome notes and details... satisfied with her attempt, briefly opening to scan it.

"This better be worth it," She muttered, a voice chiding to pick up the fallen chair.
