Catty poked Harry back, her brown eyes lighting up at the wink. She leaned back, resting her elbow on his shoulder, her chin in her palm. "Oh, I would love to see how this will work out, our elders losing maturity points." She giggled softly, hoping that things would become more entertaining.

Turning his gaze over to Harry, Ren grasped the offered hand in a simple shake, “Ren Honjo.” Glancing over at the two girls present at the time he shrugged with a small smile, “And I don’t know, I’m pretty happy with the numbers right now."

Lucy's eyebrow arched a little bit. Right. She was having trouble remembering if she'd had a strong urge to deck Ren before she left, but it was certainly a tempting prospect right now. Jackass. Instead she smiled, lips twisting in a slight smirk. Maybe he was funny enough to be likable. "Isn't an ego if it's deserved," she said easily.
[OOC: Sorry for the slow, awesomepeople, I wasn't sure if we skipped Jaina or something D: /sob]

"We should have brought popcorn. I'd say a video camera to, but they don't work here, and we wouldn't want our elders testing out their advanced curses on us," Harry replied, again his grin tightening slightly when he felt her elbow on his shoulder. Still, he knew he had to get over this, and so instead he chose to let it stay. If anything, it felt kind of...nice.
Things seemed to be a bit tenser on the Ren Lucy front, and so Harry interjected with, "I'd say anyone who was supposed to have a dragon skin purse made out of a dragon she killed with her bare hands deserves to think a little highly of herself."
He chuckled at Ren's comment about numbers. "Yes, I suppose there is an upside to it."

"Who wants drinks?" She asked, handing Lucy a firewhiskey and Ren a butterbeer before she returned to her previous seat. She rubbed the back of her neck uncomfortably, "Oh, and I managed to pick up a stray by the refreshments."

Not waiting for a reply he pulled a chair over and settled comfortably into it. "I have to say, you're all looking exceptionally fabulous tonight, ladies~" he complimented with a brilliant smile. "And Ren and Harry too, of course." he added after a moments thought.

"Popcorn sounds great right now," she said. She moved her head to the side to get her mouth closer to Harry's ear, lowering her voice to a soft whisper. "And with the way Lucy's whole attitude shifted with Ren, I'd say some of those curses might fly, but not at us."
She glanced up as Jaina came back, the host of their party following behind her. She grinned wide at him, lifting her other hand to wave at him. "Jiiim!" Catty had always liked him. She thought he was funny, and flirting with him was always fun. "You don't look half bad yourself," she replied, smiling at the compliment.

He accepted the butterbeer from Jaina with a thanks and, towards Jim, Ren gave a mock-salute. “Hello, good sir,” He said while opening the bottle and taking a swig, “Hope the music was to your standards.”

So maybe she wasn't the best at keeping her temper when she got really annoyed. But, hey, he was really annoying. "Yep. I'm headed for the big time. How's wasting your life working for you?" While her smile remained in place, her voice had a sharp edge. She wouldn't hesitate to hit him again, if he mouthed off at her ( ... )

Jaina snorted and tried not to either A. roll her eyes or B. blush after Lucy's comment, settling instead for taking a long drink out of her butterbeer instead of having to provide an answer. She watched as Catty whispered something in Harry's ear, a twinge of amusement filtering through her.
Jaina felt a bit of curiosity pull at her after Harry's comment, "Luke Skywalker? You know my uncle?" She asked, a bit of confusion pulling at her.

He raised his glass to Lucy and then to Jaina beside him, "I'll drink to that. Never stop being irresistible, Jaina," He gave her a quick wink and took another deep drink.
Jim nodded cheerfully at Harry. He was a good kid, for a Gryffindor, though, as he'd said, he was just a bit of a recluse. But that was nothing that hanging out with all these girls couldn't fix.
"Is that really so bad?" he asked Jaina, his face radiating innocence.

When Jaina responded in confusion about her uncle, Catty stiffened somewhat. She sat up straight, removing her elbow from Harry's shoulder, and clasping both hands in her lap. "Jaina, Luke Skywalker is your uncle?" She tried desperately to keep the awe from her voice.

He picked up easily on Jim’s joke and said with a small grin, “Sadly, a week was simply not enough time to find a drummer. Sorry to have failed with that but, all the drummers I knew were good graduated already.”
Now that the subject had turned towards Jaina, Ren just shrugged. He didn’t really like to gossip about family matters of other people but, he did know a bit of her family’s history.

"You got it right, Jim. Here's to irresistible ladies." Including herself, because she was pretty great. Take note of her greatness, Ren.
Not that unlikely, actually. Her ex had a thing for Australia. Freaking Australia. Those jackasses. "Thanks. I'll be sure to save you a front row seat. The view from the Opera House should be pretty good." Lucy flashed him a smile that was either joking or slightly scary in it's innocence considering slightly threatening tone underneath her speech.
Ugh, this was why she didn't go to parties. There were people.
