Of course, he had to blush at Catty's question, and even more as he realized she was a very attractive girl who in the grand scheme of things wasn't wearing that much and sitting very very close to him, and had she always felt that warm? Unfortunately for Harry, his mouth outpaced his brain, and while on autopilot he said, "O-of course."
Damn hormones.
Diverting his attention to Lucy, Harry covered his embarrassment with a smirk and shot back, "Oh really shorty? That doesn't sound so bad. Unless, of course, you're going to bend me in half like that kid who looked at you funny in your other school." Even Harry had heard the rumors surrounding Lucy, but he was a bit skeptical. Being the source of plenty of rumors himself, he knew to take absurd ones like the ones about her with a grain of salt.

She caught Harry's blush, grinning even more brightly, leaning even closer to him. She reached out, ruffling his hair playfully. "What number am I on your list?"

Whaaat? Oh Jesus, these guys were hilarious. It looked like Harry was wrapped around Catty's little finger about 0.05 seconds in. Nice skills, she'd give her that.
Leaning back so she could look around Harry and Catty to catch Jaina's gaze, Lucy's eyebrows inched a little higher. "Kids these days, huh?"

Hey, it was a party, he was just trying to fit in. Really.
If Harry had been in a more morbid mood, he might have pointed out he hadn't been a kid for a very long time, but luckily Catty's comments were distracting him from his usual depressing thoughts. Instead he just rolled his eyes.

She sighed, stretching her arms over her head and eying the butterbeers with more and more desire, "I think I'm going to grab a drink, anyone want one?"

"Number two? I can live with that." Even thought the other girls were talking about her and Harry, Catty couldn't help herself. He was cute, and they seemed to have quite a bit in common, which was alway nice.
"Hey, I'm only a year below the both of you and not that much younger. 'Kid' does not apply."
She leaned back, one foot planted on the floor to keep her propped up on the chair's arm. "I'm good, Jaina."

Ren had appeared through the crowd of people and arrived behind the little huddle of chairs with his usual grin and a small silver flask of something in his hand. The band had retired for a moment after the first few songs, which gave the group known as 'Currently Without Drummer' time to mingle before popular demand requested them to return to the stage. Ren had decided to bypass the crowd of dancers in the middle and make his way over to the back. He needed a moment with people.

"And it does apply, because you should respect Seventh years and all they say. Right, Honjo?"

Thought, he had to admit, it did feel kind of nice to flirt with Catty, even if he knew she was just playing around. He just wished the others hadn't been getting the wrong idea. Which they totally were. Honest.
"Being Surrounded by attractive clever women who could probably hex me into the next zip code? Why would I ever mind that? Well, I suppose if I didn't have a death wish..." Harry trailed off, trying to cover his blush with humor.
"No, I'm fine thanks, I have a feeling getting drunk in my current situation would not be the wisest decision I ever made," Harry replied with a laugh.
Grinning at Lucy "Ah, you'll have to forgive me Lucy, I got a failing grade at respecting my elders, but I'll try my best to get by on natural charm."

She then turned to Catty, "And you'll stop being called kid when you stop acting like one," she said, although her words were far less bitter than they usually were to Catty. Maybe Jim was right, the party was definitely doing wonders for her mood.
She absently grabbed Lucy's empty bottle, smiling as she did so before looking at the newcomer.
She nodded in greeting to Ren, "Sure, and the band sounds good tonight, by the way."

She laughed at Harry's embarassment, clearly amused by his increasingly-red face. She wondered if she should lay off a little, give him the chance to breathe. She didn't want to suffocate him... Or give Jaina more reason to abuse her.
She sighed at both Seventh years, her eyes especially twitching at Jaina's comment. "There is a difference between having fun sometimes and reverting back to a first year. I know the difference." Whoa, she was starting to sound sulky. Jaina was only being... Jaina.

Receiving the compliments for the band, Ren just scratched the back of his head a bit, normally a gesture for someone embarrassed but, with him, it was hard to tell sometimes. “Yeah, thanks guys."

"O--kay," Lucy said in comment to Catty, eyebrows raising a little. "It's just how Jaina is. Don't freak out or anything." Okay, maybe that was a little harsh. "We're all just here to have fun, right?" She flashed another smile. Lucy on a little booze was far more friendly than Lucy without. That is, unless she got pissed off. Then it was a disaster.
Looking over at Jaina, Lucy wondered if she should help with drinks... buuut she was kinda comfortable, so maybe not.

"Well, I suppose you could see it as a bank vault of no-joy, or a comedy goldmine, depending on your point of view."
Leaning back, Harry gave Catty a little poke, and winking said, "Come on, you can't let our elders get you down, they're just trying to establish their maturity, so its more funny for us when they lose it later on. Really, it's very generous of them."
Leaning back, Harry shrugged and offered his hand to Ren. "Hey, nice to meet you, I'm Harry. Nice to have another guy around, with these ladies I feel like we need backup."
