Harry shuffled into class and took a seat, flipping through his notebook to the latest set of problems. He'd actually gotten the problems done a while ago and then built off them, exploring several knew theoretical formulas.

Despite the cynical exterior he projected, Harry actually had an almost childlike curiosity about magic, and had a habit of doing magical formulas to relax himself.

One wouldn't know it to look at him, but he was actually fairly decent at Arithmancy, despite his lack of a formal education.

Haruhi slumped into class and sat in her usual spot near the back.
Once her books, quills, completed homework and parchment were out of her bag and onto the desk she allowed her mind to wander off. There weren't too many people in the class yet.

She was in a bad mood, and she knew it was for childish reasons and that just made her more annoyed about everything.

Shiki glanced at Harry and Haruhi before choosing a seat well away from either student. It wasn't that Shiki did not like them; just the aura that the latter student especially was exuding warned Shiki to stay far away.

The seat she ended up in was near the front. That suited her fine; Shiki was usually well-behaved in class. Settling down into the chair, she read what had been written on the blackboard.

"Passing your OWLs," she muttered, shuddering. It looked set to be a tough and rewardless lesson...
