Teaching is not what I thought it would be - or maybe it is - but as everyone that works with me would say "I've got the rookie schedule from hell!" Two of my classes actually break state law due to the number of special ed children that are in there (that I have no idea how to deal with) and the high number of children with a history of

i have complete faith that you can do this....i read in many teach for america articles that calling students Mr and Ms is a good way to make the class have a more professional atmosphere..so you are on the right tract!

Sarah, you can do this! You are a great person and a great teacher. Just let your intelligent mind and your six senses guide you through your day in class. You will make the right decisions and leave great impressions on those you teach. I am sure it is hell sometimes, but you are helping to improve this world one child at a time. It is impossible to care for them all. If you take them seriously, they will pay you the respect you deserve.

I'm sorry to hear you have hellions. I would love to give you the answer to all your problems but unfortunatly I only know how to deal with demented incontinent old peoples and now the demented, also possibly incontinent, young peoples. Fear not though. Monday I join you in the working world :) Oh and i'm adding you as a friend becuase lauren made me get on here and I have no friends :P That and more importantly because you are my friend! Alas, eveything will work out in the end and you will get your "I'm a kick butt teacher" level up soon.
