Teaching is not what I thought it would be - or maybe it is - but as everyone that works with me would say "I've got the rookie schedule from hell!" Two of my classes actually break state law due to the number of special ed children that are in there (that I have no idea how to deal with) and the high number of children with a history of disciplinary problems. I've taken to calling children "Mr. Carter, etc.," and I feel so horribly old. I do have hope though, that one day, all children will not be this atrocious, or that they might not sniff as much glue.
Anywho, this was my two-bit note, but now I feel that I must flitter away to grade a few more essays before passing out - you know...by those children that can "right/wright" *sigh*
Everyone take care!
On a sad note, Peter S. Beagle (my beloved author of "The Last Unicorn") is now a no-go for DragonCon. The horror! The horror!
On another sad note, I'm exhausted most of the time these days, and I miss everyone terribly, but if anyone would ever be interested in a road trip to Alpharetta, I will bake cookies!!! And...um....I'll have hugs!!!
